The 2nd Sixty Planned Giving Initiative
On our 60th Anniversary, it is remarkable to look back and see what this ministry to older adults has become. With God’s help, and with the support of many churches and individuals, the past 60 years witnessed remarkable blessings for those we served.
But while we celebrate the first 60 years, we are also excited about the next 60 years – and beyond. Because great things lie ahead for this ministry, we are launching The 2nd Sixty Planned Giving Initiative to help prepare future blessings for those we will serve tomorrow. This initiative encourages folks who care about our ministry to older adults to help prepare the future with us.
What are Planned Gifts?
Planned gifts are deferred gifts that will be received by PCSC in the future. These gifts cost little or nothing to make today. Yet, these are some of the most impactful gifts we receive. Planned gifts include, among other things:
- Naming PCSC as a beneficiary in your will or trust
- Naming PCSC as a beneficiary of your IRA or life insurance policy
- Creating a charitable gift annuity or trust that pays you or a loved one income for life and leaves the residual to PCSC.
Leaving a Lasting Legacy
Planned gifts have been a crucial resource for PCSC’s growth and stability over the years. It is no exaggeration to say that PCSC as we know it, would not exist without the special people who over the years left their legacy of caring through a planned gift.
Most leave these gifts to be used as the Board of Trustees determines best. Other specify their legacy be used to provide charitable care for residents who outlive their life savings through no fault of their own. Still others indicate their legacy be used for special projects or programs at our communities.
Will you consider leaving your own legacy of caring for the seniors we serve?
The Good Samaritan Society
Please let us know if you make a bequest or other estate plan. This enables us to be sure we understand your designation for the use of your gift. Also, we will gratefully enroll you as a member of the Good Samaritan Society.
As a Good Samaritan Society member, your name will be published annually in the donor edition of the Community Connections magazine in recognition on your generous intent. This recognition encourages other potential donors to follow your lead. Of course, we respect your privacy if you wish to remain anonymous.
About our Foundation
PCSC Foundation was established by our Board of Trustees to receive, invest, and manage charitable contributions to PCSC's ministry at it's five historic campuses (Clinton, Columbia, Florence, Foothills, and Summerville). Gifts made to PCSC Foundation are tax-deductable under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
